Having just turned age 60, Madonna might be feeling a certain nostalgia for the old days in Beverly Hills. Especially her former Sunset Boulevard mansion she bought in 2003 for $12 million and sold in 2013 for $19.5 million. It is has been totally redone and back on the market at $35 million. Now living in Lisbon to help with her son’s soccer aspirations, Madonna has made a new album which she is currently promoting, though no title or release date is yet available.
“HGTV & Lance Bass Battle for Brady Bunch House”

In a battle for 1970’s TV nostalgia, HGTV bought the ‘Brady Bunch’ television home for $3.5 million. Competing against several other potential buyers including former NSYNC singer Lance Bass, HGTV paid about twice the asking price of $1.6 million. The split-level home was used for the show’s exterior scenes but the interior scenes were filmed at a studio. HGTV plans to restore the home to its 1970’s glory and possibly a relaunch of the original show.

The Martha’s Vineyard home where Barack Obama and family spent their first three summer vacations after Barack became president in 2009 recently sold for $15 million. Blue Heron Farm in Chilmark Pond includes a 6,967-square-foot main house on 9.5 acres, six bedrooms, a two-bedroom guest house, boat dock, and three extra lots between the beach and the house.

“Tom Cruise’s Florida Scientology Penthouse”

The years of rumors that Tom Cruise was moving to Florida to be close to the Church of Scientology headquarters in Clearwater have apparently been confirmed. ‘People Magazine’ reports that Cruise has been renovating a two-floor penthouse one block from the Scientology main office. Tom purchased the apartment in 2016 which features include a home theater and flight simulator. He has been a prominent member of the religion since the 1980s.

“Michael Jordan Mansion Still Available”

Michael Jordan’s Chicagoland mansion where he lived during his championship years with the Chicago Bulls has been on the market since 2012. The 56,000-square-foot home with his #23 as part of the estate’s entry gate was originally listed at $29 million with several subsequent price reductions and an unsuccessful auction, now listed at $14.855 million. Michael is now living in Florida.

“Trump Loses New York City Tax Cut”

Now that his primary residence is the White House, President Trump has lost the tax abatement on his Trump Tower apartment. The tax break is for New York home owners whose primary residence is in the city, which Trump lost after moving to the White House in January, 2017. The lost tax break will cost Trump almost $49,000.

“Looking for Love for Beach Boy House”

The Beach Boys’ Mike Love is trying to sell his California castle-style home at Pebble Beach. Mike is asking $6.45 million for the 8,900-square-foot, seven-bedroom home that he had built in 2006. The home was previously on the market at $5.75 million but did not sell. The home includes four floors, ocean views, an outdoor kitchen and home theater.

“Jennifer Lawrence Buys Jessica Simpson’s House”

Jennifer Lawrence recently became the new owner of Jessica Simpson’s former home in Beverly Hills. The 5,500-square-foot home features both old world and contemporary style with a lush courtyard and stone walls, breakfast nook, grand staircase, extensive molding, industrial kitchen, and bedroom-size master closet. Jennifer paid about $7 million for the home.

“Jackie Gleason’s UFO House For Sale”

In the 1950s, one of television’s most popular shows was the ‘Jackie Gleason Show,’ broadcast live from Studio 50 in New York City. Jackie’s former home in the New York suburb of Westchester County is for sale at $12 million. Gleason modeled the home after a UFO and designed it so that everything was round, no right angles anywhere including the bed, cabinets and furniture. Jackie eventually sold the home and moved to a Fort Lauderdale home on a golf course.

“Former Doors House For Sale”

The former home of the Doors lead guitarist, Robby Krieger, is for sale at $13.9 million. Krieger had the home built in 1971, about the same time that the group’s lead singer, Jim Morrison, died in Paris. The 6,624-square-foot home with four bedrooms has been restored with a few unusual features such as corked ceilings and a hexagonal pool. Krieger was the Doors main song writer including ‘Light My Fire’ and ‘Love Her Madly.’
