Brickell strengthens its position as a world-class venue, distinguished by its luxury retail, acclaimed dining concepts, and vibrant hospitality scene, Colliers is pleased to announce that internationally renowned restaurant concept Amazónico has secured over 20,000 square feet at 800 Brickell for its highly anticipated U.S. flagship location.

Executive Vice President Jonathan Carter, in partnership with the Darryl R. Kaplan Company, represented the landlord, Gatsby Florida, while Vice President Jenny Gefen represented the tenant, Amazónico, in negotiating the long-term lease.

“Set to become one of Brickell’s most sought-after culinary destinations, Amazónico brings a bold fusion of Latin American and Amazon-inspired cuisine, paired with an immersive ambiance and curated entertainment that redefine the standard for dining and nightlife,” said Gefen.

Initially founded in Madrid by famed restaurateurs Sandro Silva and Marta Seco, Amazónico has become one of Spain’s most celebrated gastronomic experiences, with acclaimed locations in London, Dubai, Monte Carlo, Madrid, and now Miami. Created to take guests on a sensory journey along the Amazon River, the restaurant blends Latin American spirit, opulent design, and refined hospitality with the rich cultural traditions of the region. Its menus, inspired by the diverse communities of the Amazon, are designed for sharing and showcasing an array of vibrant, distinctive flavors. Paired with inventive cocktails, atmospheric interiors, and live entertainment that embody the rhythm and energy of Miami, Amazónico offers a captivating culinary voyage.

Spanning over 20,000 square feet across three levels of indoor and outdoor space, Amazónico Miami welcomes guests into a tropical haven of lush greenery, volcanic stone, and woven textures.

The ground-floor restaurant offers a vibrant dining experience, featuring an open kitchen, terrace seating, and nightly live music performances. On the second floor, the bar & lounge features mirrored ceilings, rich textures, a sushi counter, and curated cocktails, all set to the energy of resident DJs and percussionists. A private, jungle-inspired dining room is also available for more intimate occasions.

Debuting in October, the third floor will open into a rooftop bar with sweeping views of Miami’s skyline, inviting guests to linger over cocktails beneath the city lights. Later this year, a separate nightlife club concept, Selva, will also open on the rooftop, channeling the untamed spirit of the jungle into an alluring hideaway of music, intrigue, and late-night energy.

“A powerhouse restaurant group has leased one of the most prominent corners in Brickell and truly made it its own. Amazónico is more than a dining venture; it’s a statement piece for the entire city of Miami,” said Carter. “This project exemplifies adaptive reuse at its best, transforming a pair of defunct bank branches and office space into a vibrant new flagship for a global culinary house.”

Situated at the prominent corner of SW 8th Street and Brickell Avenue, 800 Brickell is a landmark mixed-use property in Miami’s dynamic financial district.

Purchased in 2019 by Gatsby Florida, 800 Brickell underwent a complete redevelopment. Gatsby Florida, led by Nader Shalom & Babak Ebrahimzadeh, completely renovated the 210,000-square-foot property from a Class B office building into a mixed-use Class A trophy in the heart of Miami’s most dynamic neighborhood. Ownership completely redeveloped the first three floors of the building into true urban retail spaces, which made it the perfect location for Amazónico to call home. The firm also redeveloped all office spaces and common areas to provide an unmatched tenant experience; from the moment you enter the building to the time you depart. Surrounded by luxury retail, esteemed dining, and premier hospitality, the property offers unmatched visibility and connectivity in the heart of Brickell.

With exceptional on-site restaurants, cafés, and lifestyle amenities, steps from Brickell City Centre and Mary Brickell Village, 800 Brickell embodies the prestige and energy that define Miami’s urban core, making it an unrivaled setting for flagship retail and dining concepts.

Gatsby Florida is a privately held, full-service family real estate firm recognized for its industry expertise, creativity, and resourceful approach to every transaction. The company specializes in creating unmatched experiences across all its properties. The firm is involved in land acquisition, commercial/residential development, and property management, offering comprehensive guidance across the entire property lifecycle, from acquisition to disposition. With a collaborative, team-driven model, the firm delivers strategic counsel in asset management, leasing, marketing, design, construction, and financing, ensuring value and vision are realized at every stage. Gatsby Florida has acquired and developed a collection of trophy Class A, best-in-class, mixed-use buildings stretching from Brickell to Boca Raton and Palm Beach Gardens. “We have been successful in collecting South Florida’s premier office and retail properties. We have been fortunate enough to bring them to the next level and provide best-in-class product and service to all our tenants,” said Bobby Zadeh, president of Gatsby Florida.

Gatsby has developed and continues to develop boutique one-of-a-kind commercial buildings in South Florida. The firm is currently under development in Palm Beach Gardens’ only and newest Class A office building, The Modern.

Gatsby will develop the only true Class A office product in North Palm Beach County, filling a supply gap that is currently unavailable in the market. “The companies in Palm Beach County want the best. They want Class A; they want the best. We currently have more than half the building under negotiation, all with national and global firms. We are delivering a product that the market needs and looks forward to, working with both new and existing companies in welcoming them to The Modern and Palm Beach County,“ said Isaac Shalom, vice president of Gatsby Florida.
