“BEYOND RESCUE: Restoring Stolen Futures”
Miami, Florida
Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle will host her Annual Human Trafficking Forum. This year’s theme is “Beyond Rescue: Restoring Stolen Futures,” which focuses on using available neuroscience as the basis for a trauma-informed, victim-centered prosecution model that helps survivors of human trafficking to participate in the criminal justice process while minimizing further traumatization.
The involvement with those rescued from Human Trafficking uses a holistic approach and also includes providing them with assistance and services to live a healthy, safe, and independent life. The forum is co-sponsored by Citrus Health Network, Camillus House, Jackson Health System, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, UHealth (University of Miami Health System), and Kristi House’s Project Gold.
