Avianca's Business Class Menu Nominated Among Best In The World

Avianca has been nominated for the APEX/IFSA awards in the Best Inflight Food or Beverage category, which highlights the best inflight menus.

The APEX/IFSA Awards are presented by the International Flight Services Association (IFSA) to the best in-flight experiences offered by airlines around the world.

“This nomination for the APEX/IFSA awards recognizes exceptional onboard service with attention to every detail, with our efforts led by such important allies as Álvaro Clavijo, one of the best gastronomic talents globally in highlighting culinary traditions and haute cuisine techniques, and chef of El Chato, ranked number 25 in the world according to The World’s 50 Best Restaurants,”  commented Katherine Stradaioli, vice president of Customer Delivery at Avianca.

Gastronomy is a key element in Avianca’s Business Class service and, for this reason, the menus available on flights from Bogotá to Europe and some routes in the Americas have been created by chef Álvaro Clavijo and offering a wide selection of wines from several countries around the world that elevate the experience even further.

“It is very gratifying to know that this gastronomic offering has been recognized at this level, because in addition to demonstrating that we have created a memorable culinary experience, with this nomination we can confirm that our commitment to local and high-quality ingredients has been valued by both Avianca customers and industry experts,” said Álvaro Clavijo.
