Broadway’s brightest stars are gathering for an unforgettable night to celebrate and raise funds to save a beloved theatre community institution, The West Bank Cafe.

Broadway’s brightest stars are gathering for an unforgettable night to celebrate and raise funds to save a beloved theatre community institution, The West Bank Cafe. On Tuesday, October 8th, the iconic restaurant and its famed downstairs venue, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, will host a glittering gala packed with Broadway’s best. This event marks a critical turning point for these cherished spaces, as they urgently raise the necessary funds to ensure their survival in the heart of the Theatre District.

The gala evening runs from 6:00PM – 10:00PM and includes an evening of entertainment, food, and an open bar. The performances begin at 7:00PM, and the evening will feature three sets of performances with breaks to eat and “schmooze” in between.

Tickets begin at $500 and can be purchased here. All tickets are tax deductible.

Bianca Leigh (Oh Mary!) will be the emcee for the evening’s entertainment. No stranger to the West Bank Cafe, she was last seen on the Beechman stage in August reprising a show she developed there years ago titled “Busted”.

The Laurie Beechman Gala will include performances by Julie Benko (Funny Girl), Tony-nominee Liz Calloway (Baby), Andrew Barth Feldman (No Hard Feelings), SAG Award-winner Annie Golden (Orange Is the New Black), Tony-nominee Amanda Green (Mr. Saturday Night), Tony-nominee Joe Iconis (Be More Chill), Pulitzer Prize-winner Michael R. Jackson (A Strange Loop), SAG Award-nominee Award Richard Kind (Mad About You), Pulitzer Prize-winner Tom Kitt (Next To Norman), Tony-nominee Judy Kuhn (Fun Home), Emmy-nominee Lorna Luft, Bianca Marroquin (Chicago), Grammy-winner Eva Noblezada (Hadestown), Drama Desk-nominee Christine Pedi (Forbidden Broadway), Drama Desk-nominee Liam Peirce (How to Dance in Ohio), Emmy-nominee Randy Rainbow, Ryann Redmond (Frozen), Will Roland (Dear Evan Hansen), Tony-nominee A.J. Shively (Paradise Square), and Tony-winner Lillias White (The Life). More performers and special guests will be announced soon. Cast subject to change.

This event is being produced by Tony-nominated Broadway producers Tom D’Angora and Michael D’Angora (Suffs), Tony-nominated composer Joe Iconis (Be More Chill), actor Tim Guinee (“Homeland”), alongside owner Steve Olsen. Event sponsors include “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Bronwyn Newport, Todd Bradley, Broadway’s Kristy Cates (Wicked) and Greg Grozdits. Michael Lavine will serve as Musical Director.
