Texas Emo Band My Point Of You Shares Debut EP

My Point of you is a North Texas-based band blending alternative rock, screamo, and twee into something affectionately dubbed tweemo.

The band came together in 2023 after crossing paths through local shows and shared musical obsessions, forming naturally within a tight-knit DIY scene.

Originating from places like Midland and Denton, their backgrounds shaped a hunger for connection, honesty, and noise.

Five-piece My Point Of You are excited to share their debut EP, this is my first heist, available everywhere via Houston’s Rite Field Records. Melodies unravel across 4 songs, with mathy riffs and emo-tinged vocals to match.

“Each song on the EP has its own unique personality. We drew inspiration from our own lives to create lyrics and instrumentation that are both real and emotional,” says my point of you. “We didn’t expect it to turn out this way, but we’re really proud of it. Our writing style is all about being honest and true to ourselves, exploring emotions and ideas that are close to our hearts, like dealing with change, overcoming relationship problems, and being open and vulnerable.”

My Point Of You debuted last year with “Water, Clawing (…i wake up),” an unflinching first single that captured the band’s ability to infuse emotion into their drawn-out choruses and tight riffs. The group also appeared on bulletbetweentongues’ sophomore album, Fragility, on the fuzzed-out closer “Inferno.”

Later this summer, My Point Of You will embark on their first ever east coast tour with Fake Pollocks.
