A handheld New York visual introduces the cinematic world of her ninth studio album

5x Latin GRAMMY award winning singer, songwriter and artist Mon Laferte presents a fiercely cinematic visual inspired by the romance and melancholy of old New York to present her “Femme Fatale” vision, soundtracked by the title-track of her latest ninth studio album – watch here!

The official music video, directed by Mon Laferte with longtime collaborator Mayra Ortiz, sees Mon Laferte walk through dimly lit city streets, passing subway stations, smoke shops, bars, taxis, and late-night corners of the city as she reflects on relationships that continue falling apart despite their intensity. Balancing classic New York glamour with emotional vulnerability and loneliness, Laferte delivers an unfiltered, nostalgic and deeply human video.

The ‘Femme Fatale’ visual premieres as Mon Laferte’s Femme Fatale experience expands to the live stage. Currently on tour across Mexico and Latin America, Mon Laferte has brought her most recent album’s emotional intensity and theatrical world-building to audiences through a powerful live show blending vulnerability, drama, and striking visual storytelling.

The Femme Fatale tour, which will arrive in North America this July, will spotlight Mon’s special talent of merging raw emotion with a bold artistic vision, and will continue to cement her place as one of Latin music’s most compelling and boundary-pushing performers. The 28-date North American run, which already includes many sold-out headline dates, will make major appearances across the US and Canada, including a sold-out show at New York’s Radio City Music Hall on August 22nd and Los Angeles’ Kia Forum on November 7th.

These appearances celebrate Mon Laferte’s critically acclaimed ‘Femme Fatale’ album (listen here), which explores destructive romance, femininity, obsession, vulnerability, and emotional contradiction through a cinematic and deeply theatrical lens. Across the album, Mon blends classic cabaret influences, jazz, alternative balladry, and dramatic orchestral arrangements, creating a world where heartbreak feels both intimate and larger than life. Lyrically, the project explores heartbreak, longing, chaos, self-destruction, and emotional survival, with Mon embracing characters that feel glamorous, flawed, volatile, and deeply human.

Mon Laferte is a fiercely creative Latin American singer-songwriter and visual artist known for her raw emotional vulnerability, theatrical performance style, and genre-bending music. Her work, spanning music, painting, and performance, explores intimate themes of love, loss, and social justice with a unique, passionate intensity.
