LAPILLUS, the new K-pop girl group under MLD Entertainment, made their debut on June 20 with ‘HIT YA!’. The official MV has received 9.5 Million YouTube views and counting.

Lapillus is a six-member group of Chanty, Shana, Yue, Bessie, Seowon, and Haeun. The name Lapillus means ‘a jewel that changes color depending on the direction of light’. Similar to their name, the group delivers the message “Shine Your Lapillus(Find your own dreams and colors)” to the world.

‘HIT YA!’ features 808 beats and rough electric guitar sounds. Lee-Seungcheol, the legendary vocalist of “Emperor of Live Performance,” joined as the group vocal director.

Recently, MLD Entertainment released two performance covers of the group. Lapillus joined their brother group, T1419, for a rendition dance cover of Natti Natasha, Chimbala, and El Alfa’s “WOW BB”. The Dominican anthem has garnered over 35 Million views on YouTube and 13.7 Million streams on Spotify. Standing alone, the group performed a cover of Camila Cabello’s “Don’t Go Yet”.

While showing a more refreshing style and look in “WOW BB”, the girls switch up with a fiery-fierce look in “Don’t Go Yet”. In both videos, the girls are singing in Spanish and English.
