A new global survey finds the ‘KUWTK’ clan choose the worst baby names — accounting for seven of the 50 worst of all time.
Kardashian/Jenner/West Family Tops the List
It’s settled. The Kardashian/Jenner/West family is, by far, the most commonly chosen family for bad naming choices with 7 of the top 50 worst naming choices. Kim and Kanye take the number one spot with their choice for their daughter North West, and their other three naming choices are also on the list: Chicago, Saint, and Psalm. Even the name West was chosen by our users. Khloe Kardashian made the list with her choice of True, and Kylie Jenner chose Stormi.
Musician Frank Zappa also has multiple baby names that appear on the list: Diva Thin Muffin, Moon Unit, and Dweezil. He also chose the name Ahmet which is absent from the list.
Unexpected Additions
A few names frequently chosen by our users were made into overnight celebrities because of a news event instead of celebrity parents. Abcde (pronounced ab-si-dee) was mocked by an airline agent. Parents were stopped from naming their children Nutella by a French court. Fish was also blocked by courts when a couple tried to name their twins «Fish» and «Chips». Olivia Garten was named after the chain restaurant Olive Garden.
A few controversial names made the list – many users voted them as the worst names, but many people also have chosen the name for their child. Stormi, Renesmee, Princess, True, Saint, Bear, and West all have more than 1,000 children in the United States with the name.

- Banana: Christian Bale gave one of his children the nickname Banana and another Burrito.
- Tu: Tu Morrow is the daughter of Rob Morrow and Debbon Ayer
- Kulture: Kulture Kiari Cephus is the daughter of Cardi B and Offset.
Despite making the top 50 list, some of the names have become popular at the same time. More than 1,000 children have since been named Stormi, Renesmee, Princess, True, Saint, Bear, and West.
