The country duo honors American musical tradition with a new album celebrating timeless songwriting and heartfelt storytelling

NASHVILLE, Tenn. —

Wilson Fairchild, the country music duo made up of cousins Wil Reid and Langdon Reid, today release their new album and DVD, American Songbook: Country Classics and Gospel Favorites, available now via Gaither Music Group.

The project brings together the country and gospel songs that shaped the duo’s upbringing, offering fresh interpretations of enduring classics including “Amazing Grace,” “Always on My Mind,” “Blue Moon of Kentucky,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” and, “Lean On Me,” which is the first studio recording of this song in the country genre. Rooted in the music they grew up around, the album reflects a lifelong connection to songs that have stood the test of time.

“This record feels like bringing all those songs back home,” says Wil Reid. “We’ve lived with this music our whole lives, and getting to finally share our versions of it with people means a lot to us.”

Langdon Reid adds, “These songs have been part of our lives for as long as we can remember. Putting this album out into the world feels like sharing a piece of where we come from.”

Filmed live at The Mulehouse in Columbia, Tennessee, the companion DVD captures 15 performances in an intimate concert setting. The audio project was produced by Michael Sykes and Johnny Minick, and the audio recording includes 13 tracks spanning country, gospel, folk, and early rock influences.

The project also includes a full-circle moment as the duo’s sons, Jack and Davis Reid, join them on The Statler Brothers’ classic “I’ll Go To My Grave Loving You,” extending the family’s musical tradition to a new generation.

Before stepping fully into their own spotlight, Wilson Fairchild opened for George Jones for nearly four years and later recorded Songs Our Dads Wrote, a tribute to the songwriting of Don and Harold Reid. Their 2023 release Statler Made further established their place within the Gaither Music family of artists. With American Songbook, the duo turns to the broader catalog of music that shaped their lives, connecting those early influences to the present day.

American Songbook: Country Classics and Gospel Favorites is available now as an audio album, full-length DVD, and television special. The television special will air on TBN, RFD-TV, The Word Network, Vision, TCT, The Walk TV, TLN, HopeTV, The Miracle Channel, CTS, CTN, and Heartland. Tune in times are located on the website here.

The full-length project will also be available to stream at Gaither TV+, or fans may purchase the DVD and CD at Gaither.com. Stream the album here.
