Ohio Election Guide

by Soraya Alcalá

AFA is helping voters in Ohio be informed voters in the November 3 election by offering you the AFA Action iVoterGuide.

Voter registration deadline is October 5.

All registered voters are eligible to apply for an absentee ballot from the county board of elections. No excuse is required. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is October 31 at 12:00 noon. If mailed, marked absentee ballots must be postmarked by November 2, or returned in person to the county board of elections before the close of polls on Election Day.

Polls are open 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.

Election methods and dates are changing rapidly as communities battle Coronavirus. All changes will be posted to our special COVID 19 Election Updates page, so please check it for changes prior to voting.

The AFA Action iVoterGuide looks at the history of each candidate so voters can see for themselves:

  • How candidates have voted in the past
  • Who the candidates give money to
  • Where the candidates’ money comes from
  • How the candidates answer questions on critical issues
