LA Based Dutch artist Mia Nicolai releases “chasing lullabies”, the first single from her upcoming EP Sharing Space Among The Stars, produced by Vetle Junker (AURORA) and Executive Produced by Ella Vos and Tommy English. “Chasing lullabies” not only showcases Mia’s stellar voice but shares her vulnerability as she chooses “herself” and re-discovers her inner child.
About “chasing lullabies”, Mia says, “Chasing lullabies was written nomadically while couch surfing in London after Eurovision, as I healed from the pressure of the competition and found my own personal sound again. It came together when I worked with Konstantin Kersting (tones and I) and songwriter Anu Pillai (Lewis Capaldi) as I spoke about the journey of becoming my purest self again – the inner child. It was an organic writing process, that became sonically realized with EP producer Vetle Junker in Norway.”

About the EP, Mia says, “I felt so enchanted being in Bergen, Norway, surrounded by whimsical musicians, that it inspired me to take the big leap I hadn’t made before. This is my first stamp as an artist with a full cohesive sound. It’s inspired by the healing process and coming back to my child like self as a 20-something. But more importantly, Sharing Space Among The Stars is just a glimpse of the bigger sound I carry in me, which will soon be revealed.”
