Following their collaboration “Qué Vas a Hacer (Version Norteña)” with Nivel, the skyrocketing norteño sax group Los Primos Del Este is back with a romantic norteño sax track called “Mami.”

“Mami was inspired by the feeling of being in love for the first time. I wanted to bring a nostalgic feeling back and I felt that the creation of this song is exactly that. Being able to express yourself to someone through a song” says front man of the group, Geo.

Already proven with the success of “No Es Mentira (Versión Norteña),” and “Qué Vas a Hacer (Version Norteña)” Los Primos Del Este is reaching new heights with this new original song. In “Mami,” the band narrates a story about being in love and infatuated with a beautiful woman. Sonically, the danceable song hits the band’s signature sound by featuring a rhythmic bass, melodic brass instruments, and a dancing accordion that makes their norteño sax a force to be reckoned with. Co-written by the lead vocalist Geovanni Flores, the Mexican-American group is continuously cementing itself as one of norteño sax’s most innovative faces in the subgenre.

“Mami” follows the Mexican-American band’s viral hit “No Es Mentira (Versión Norteña)” which has garnered over 82 million streams on Spotify. More popular tracks include “No Hay Solución,” “Poema,” and “Te Acordarás De Mí” with Conjunto Rienda Real.

Los Primos Del Este is currently on a nationwide tour, selling out shows and live events. The band is also working on new music and is scheduled to release two singles in the upcoming months. They will release their new EP in early 2025.
