‘I can’t breathe’

On May 22, 2022, the GFF will be holding a “Breathe Brunch” to update the Community on ongoing projects, and to provide Social Justice awards to industry Titans who have demonstrated Social Equity. George Floyd Foundation (GFF) presents, “Breathe Brunch” to highlight social justice leaders and acknowledge the 2nd Anniversary of George Floyd’s death.

Two years ago the world saw the injustices of police brutality when George Floyd was killed by officers within the Minneapolis Police Department. The GFF was incepted as a result of this tragedy to address social injustices.

Social Justice awards will be awarded to CEO of Aventiv Technologies and its Corrections Subsidiary, Securus Technologies, Dave Able. Aventiv manufactures computer tablets and supplies them to half million prison inmates. GFF is supplying Aventiv with content to include, Crime to Coding, and Crime to CEO; both programs assist inmates into becoming productive citizens upon their release from prison.

Andre Norman, Founder; The Academy of Hope, #1 Prison Success Story; Motivational Speaker, Social Advocate, Change Agent, Re-entry Programs, to name a few, will also be awarded for his work as a Social Equity advocate.

Keisha Nix, VP of Charitable Affairs, Laker Franchise will also be honored. Keisha has a long history of community outreach with an emphasis on assisting young minority women. Her story of a single Mom from South Central Los Angeles and now as VP within the Laker franchise, is inspiring!

In order that we may expand GFF’s Social Justice programs, Youth Tech Training and Job Creation/Entrepreneurship we’ve garnered the support of three, independently wealthy entrepreneurs: These 3 will be participating in our Billionaire Mentor Dinner Auction! Yes, we will be auctioning them off to the highest bidder for a private dinner! We will be auctioning Jay Bloom who has made a career of successes in the business world and currently purchasing the NBA expansion team in Las Vegas! Also participating in the auction will be Coca Cola Baron, Alki David who owns 26 distributorships! And last, but certainly not least, Keith McCarty, Co-Founder of cannabis delivery service, EAZE, will participate in the dinner auction as well!

GFF believes in education, thus having dinner with successful business leaders ties into the mission of GFF’s social justice education.

Our entertainment for this event will be provided by singer from Korea, Cyrilla, who will release her song/tribute to the George Floyd Foundation at the “Breathe Brunch”. She was recently chosen to sing the National Anthem at the next Mike Tyson fight in Las Vegas!

The founders of GFF will be in attendance, Shareeduh and Tera who run the operation in Houston, TX. Dr. Lance McCarthy, Senior Economic Advisor is coordinating the “Breathe Brunch” along with his stellar team; and Phil Westbrook will be hosting the event at his Bel Air Estate.
