Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad Announced Today That They Will No Longer Require Masks

by Soraya Alcalá

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR) announced today that they will no longer require masks on the train due to a recent federal ruling. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will no longer enforce the national mask mandate that went into effect more than a year ago for transportation after a federal ruling Monday overturning the order.

“Due to the recent court ruling, effective immediately, CVSR will no longer require masks for guests while on the train and at our boarding stations,” said Joe Mazur, CVSR President and CEO. “We always want our guests to feel comfortable while on the train. While we will not enforce masks, guests who would like to wear a mask should feel free to wear one when joining us.”

CVSR is currently running on weekends with their Cleveland Dinner & Event Train, National Park Flyer and Family Fun Loop excursions. This Friday’s Cleveland Dinner & Event Train will be the first excursion in more than a year to run with no mask requirements.

Guests who have purchased tickets for an excursion through July will be contacted via email by CVSR customer service to inform them of the change.
