Critically acclaimed and multi-platinum selling music producer Andrew Watt continues to shake up the music world in 2023, this time with the release of two highly anticipated summer singles. Today, BTS’s Jungkook released his new single “Seven” featuring Latto, and long-time collaborator Post Malone released “Overdrive,” both co-produced and co-written by Watt.
The release of “Seven” comes on the heels of a now viral preview teaser that took the internet by storm this past week. The one-minute video titled Seven Recording Film Preview, gave the BTS fandom world, otherwise known as ARMYs, a unique inside look in the recording studio with Jungkook and Watt. “Hearing him on his own, on this song, it’s pretty dangerous what’s about to happen,” expressed an excited Watt in the video.
“Overdrive” marks the latest in what has been a long and fruitful partnership between Post Malone and Watt, going back to 2019’s now iconic Hollywood’s Bleeding album. Watt was also credited as a co-producer and co-writer on “Wrapped Around Your Finger” which was featured on Malone’s summer 2022 release Twelve Carat Toothache.
“Seven” from Jungkook, featuring Latto, and “Overdrive” from Post Malone, are both co-produced and co-written by Andrew Watt and available across all streaming services today.
