Capitol Hill Conference to Examine FEMA-NFIP Reform

(Washington, DC) – Hurricane Sandy victims will hold a press conference Wednesday, September 13th in Washington to reveal what’s next for Harvey/Irma victims. Covering what victims of hurricanes Harvey and Irma can expect from the federal government? Talk to homeowners who were tortured by FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program for 4-5 years after Hurricane Sandy.

Five years after Hurricane Sandy, thousands of homeowners are still not paid what they’re owed. After paying flood insurance premiums for decades, many who lost their homes then fell victim to NFIP fraud and abuse – the same treatment they want to warn victims of hurricanes Harvey and Irma to expect as they try to rebuild their lives.
