Latin music’s youth idol MALUMA makes history this week, becoming the youngest artist to hold both the #1 and #2 spots, simultaneously, on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart with “Sin Contrato” and “Chantaje” (Shakira ft. Maluma). The Colombian singer-songwriter who turned twenty-three on Saturday, now has even more reasons to celebrate . . .

Maluma is only the sixth act to achieve this feat. alongside Pitbull (2011), Juan Luis Guerra (2010), Juanes (2008), and Alejandro Fernandez (1998).

“Sin Contrato” is Maluma’s fifth Latin Airplay #1, achieved in little more than a year after entering the U.S. market. The track is also the third consecutive #1 single off his album Pretty Boy Dirty Boy.
Produced by acclaimed Latin GRAMMY winner Andrés Castro, “Sin Contrato” has two remix versions that contributed to its radio success, one with Fifth Harmony, and the other, with Latin urban music icons Wisin and Don Omar.

Maluma’s digital numbers speak volumes and they continue to gain even more strength . . . He has surpassed 20 million Instagram followers (making him the leading male Latin artist on the social media platform); has 23 million Facebook likes/fans and 3.5 Twitter followers. His MalumaVevo YouTube channel has almost 7 million subscribers and has surpassed a whopping 4 billion views!

Maluma is the only artist with four songs in the Top 20 of daily most viewed videos on YouTube: “Cuatro Babys” which just surpassed 400 million views only 4 months after its non-commercial release, “Sin Contrato” with over 365 million views, “Vente Pa ‘Ca” (Ricky Martin ft. Maluma) with 450+ and “Chantaje” (Shakira ft Maluma) with 550+ views.
2017 has Maluma returning to many of the countries where he has made touring history like Argentina and Mexico. He will also take his show to the prestigious Viña del Mar Music Festival for the very first time this February 24th, an amazing feat for the young singer/songwriter.

In March, he brings his MALUMA WORLD TOUR to the United States, marking the Latin idol’s first-ever U.S. tour.
